Psychopharmacology & Neuroscience Course: Update 2009 - Nov. 20 &21
The purpose of this course is to provide a comprehensive update of recent clinical and preclinical advances in the drug treatment of mental disorders and is targeted toward practicing psychiatrists, senior residents, psychologists, and other mental health professionals.
The course objectives are threefold: to review preclinical concepts regarding the mechanism of action of psychopharmacologic agents, to present advances in clinical psychopharmacology including new drug development and new treatment approaches, and to integrate basic and clinical neuroscience into a comprehensive framework, which enables optimal clinical psychopharmacologic techniques.
